  • Description:

Invited by Japanese Contemporary Art Society to exhibit at the Dianana Art Gallery Tokyo, Japan and having been invited to visit Kyoto, Meldrum was inspired by the landscape and its monastery which lead to this prized painting
Under the influence of Taoism, Meldrum began to process and explore the philosophical depth which intrigued him all his life and would liberate ideas and allow bringing meditative feelings to the surface. Preferred acrylics on board achieved a light transparent surface effect which is often mistaken for an oil painting.
