This vibrant contemporary work uses reds, creams and greys through to black to great effect. The 'ribbons' bring to mind one of those time-exposed photographs of traffic at night. This painting is in oils on good quality stretched canvas and needs no frame. It has a textured surface and some complexity of colour - neither of which really show in the main image. The detail snapshot is better.
